The Righteous In Government

The Righteous In Government

Proverbs 11:10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, [there is] shouting.

It is true that a wicked man is an enemy of the righteous and a good society. The wicked is prejudiced against God and godliness, and is therefore angry to see good men in power and governance. But all persons, even those that have no interest in God, have a good word for a good man. Therefore when the righteous is in power, and when they are advanced and put into a capacity of doing good according to their desire, it is better for all in the society and so the city rejoices. For the honor of humanity, encouragement of righteousness, and the accomplishment of the promise of God for Nigeria, we must vote virtuous men into the government of our country, and vote out the corrupt and wicked.

Wicked people have few well-wishers among those who are wicked as themselves, but among the generality of their citizens they may be feared, but they are not loved, and therefore when they perish there is shouting; everybody takes a pleasure in seeing them disgraced and disarmed, removed out of places of trust and power. There is good reason for this, because those that are good do well, but wickedness proceeds from the wicked. Good men are public blessings. By the blessing of the upright, they bless their society. Their advice, their example, their prayers they become useful to the public.

Wicked men are like cancer that spread. When elected into position of power they corrupt good people with their wickedness. The city is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked, whose evil communications corrupt good manners, and are enough to destroy a country, to ruin godliness in it, and bring down the judgments of God upon it.

Dear reader, I encourage you to go out today with your voting power to remove all wicked people out of the place of trust and power. Go out today and use your voting power to stop all the wicked who want to rule our country.

Meditation Point
When the upright have power, the people are glad; when an evil man is ruler, grief comes on the people.

Prayer Point

  1. Let us ask God for a peaceful, free and fair election today.
  2. Ask god to frustrate the intention of the wicked to rule Nigeria
  3. Pray for the peace of Nigeria
  4. Pray for internally displaced brothers and sisters in Nigeria
